The mission of
the Santa Rosa Consolidated School District is to provide comprehensive, success-oriented
learning activities for young people in our schools.
opportunities must be designed to develop the student's potential in the
areas of academic ability and vocational awareness, cultural appreciation,
physical well-being, social development, and community contribution.
Dear Santa Rosa Professional,
Do you remember your high school years?
Perhaps you were one of those students that had a plan from day one and
followed through or you were one of those students that couldn’t figure it
out until way after high school.
Helping students choose their career path can be difficult. With so many
options available, students can often become overwhelmed and in many cases,
will never be exposed to the full range of options available to them before
having to make a decision. Because
of your contribution as a professional to our community, Santa Rosa High
School would like to invite you to participate in our Career Awareness Day.
April 29, 2015 (10am-2pm) we will be hosting a Career Awareness Day
at Santa Rosa High School. We think
it is a perfect opportunity for students to talk to professionals in their
chosen fields and learn more about what it takes to get into that
profession. It is also a
perfect opportunity for students to explore their dreams and to understand
that all lines of work bring
value to the community. With
so many different options, many students enter college not sure what
direction they want to go or realize college is not for them and must take
a different route. When students become attracted to a certain career, they
might have a hard time visualizing the steps needed to enter that field and
here is where we need your help. We all know the only route to career success is to equip oneself with
the tools necessary to make an informed decision. We hope this Career Day
with your presence will help our students make good decisions about their
professional futures. It will be a valuable learning exercise for students
and give them heads-up about the skills and education their potential
career choices will require. Finding a career is not only exciting, but can be overwhelming! If
you wish to be a participant (and we hope you will be) please complete the
